It has been a joy to visit each of our ACC Victoria schools at least once this term and to see the rich learning taking place in the classrooms. I am continually encouraged by the engagement of our students and the dedication of our staff. By the end of the term, God willing, I will have visited each school a second time to meet again with Principals, staff, students and, where possible, parents.

Each ACC Victoria school reflects its own unique community, and I have been deeply impressed by the strong connections our Principals have with their families. Many parents have taken the time to share their appreciation for the leadership of their school Principal and the difference that teachers and support staff are making in the lives of their children.

In my role as Executive Principal, I support each Principal as they lead and grow their school. This includes growing our Christ-centred foundation, continuing to embed evidence-based approaches in teaching and learning, nurturing strong community connections, and ensuring we meet all compliance and regulatory requirements.

A significant focus this year will be our five-year School Review conducted by the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA). This review provides assurance to both the Victorian Government and our community that we are meeting all requirements as a registered school. Importantly, it also offers valuable feedback to help us celebrate what we are doing well and identify areas for continued growth.

As we approach Easter, our schools will be preparing students to reflect on this significant event in the Christian calendar. We remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hope and salvation offered to us through Him. I encourage you to speak with your child about what they are learning about Easter and to continue engaging with the messages shared by your Principal in the lead-up to this important time.

I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

God bless

Christine Lucas

Executive Principal, ACC Victoria
