The year is off to an incredible start, filled with exciting events and opportunities for our students.
Our Year 4–11 House Swimming Carnival was a brilliant day of competition, teamwork, and school spirit. All three houses gave it their best effort, and it was fantastic to see students displaying our school values throughout the event. The support and encouragement among competitors were truly inspiring. Congratulations to the Eagles, who took home the first trophy of the year!
A selection of students qualified for District Swimming, representing the school in both primary and secondary divisions. Our primary team competed in Wangaratta, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and enthusiasm. Meanwhile, our secondary team took to the pool in Benalla, competing against 12 other schools in our district. The resilience, courage, and encouragement shown by our students were outstanding.
This term also provided an exciting opportunity for our Equestrian Team at the Albury Interschools competition. A special congratulations to Elsie Cavill, who won her Handy Mount class, and to Nala Santostefano, who has qualified to represent our school at the State Championships in April at the Boneo Equestrian Centre.
Looking ahead, our senior students will soon compete in the first District Round Robin event of the year. Sports on offer include tennis, lawn bowls, netball, and cricket, giving students the chance to showcase their skills and teamwork on a larger stage.
As we move into Term 2, we eagerly anticipate our Whole School Cross Country and another Round Robin event. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic year, and we can’t wait to see our students continue to strive for excellence in sport and beyond!
